Have a Very Merry Christmas!

Like most of you we have lots of holiday happenings. Last night we did our own present exchange since we would be out and about the next two days. We opened our presents and then went out and looked at christmast lights in the nearby towns. Its a little disappointing that there is no White Christmas.. Usually we have a little if not a lot by this time of year. Today. Christmas festivities with my family. The dessert looks great if I do say so! The presents are almost all packed in the car and ready to go! Then tomorrow we go to his parents house in the morning to exchange gifts and to his grandmother's for Christmas lunch. Lots to do, but I wouldn't have it any other way! Being busy means we have family and friends to share the holidays with which is a blessing!

I want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and safe travels.

Can you say Christmas Cards?

I got my christmas cards, done. They are all addressed and ready to be sent off as well. Such a great feeling to have yet another  thing off  the to do list. Cookies have also been baked for the cookie exchange at work, and now I can sit back and relax, BUT WAIT! That is right I have one other yearly tradition I need to complete. I need to come up with 12 awesome layouts for my parent's annual calendar. I am such a procrastinator! Well lets get back to what I do have done! Those awesome cards! Here are some pics of them. I would have loved to make more and I think I will continue with that once I get the calendar done. That way I will be ahead of the game for next year. So far I have  used the following lines for my cards, Doodlebug, Authentique, Teresa Collins, and Jillibean. I loved working with all those lines all are vey fun to work with.

So here they are, I hope they inspire you if you are a procrastinator like myself or if you are going to work on more for the upcoming holiday season, either way Happy Creating!

First off are ones done with Teresa Collins, I love the classy feel of this line. I love the rich colors and bold patterns done in christmas colors.

Next are a few I did with Authentique paper line. Love this more country/homey christmas line. I used some embellishments that I have had around for awhile from Making Memories.

Next are some by Jillibean, I love this cute line. I really love the penquins.I have the stamps, and intend to make some cute tags and other stamped card here at a later date. I have them stamped and now I just need to finish coloring them!

And then I have my doodlebug cards. Their products are just way too cute! I had so much fun working with the bright untraditional colors and all the cool stickers and doodlepops. There stuff is super easy to work with, especially for card makers.

Thank you for looking I hope these gave you all some inspiration!! Happy Holidays! I can't believe Christmas is only a week away.. My oh my how fast this year flew by!

I am back with lots of fun craftiness!

Well I have had a long enough hiatus. The holiday season puts me in craft mode 101! I actually got 3, yes 3 projects completed in the last couple of weeks. I am so excited to share. Pinterest is what got me hooked on some wreaths. We have a beautiful front door at our house and its very bare! I whipped up two wreaths. One is more traditional christmas with green, burgandy, cream and browns. The other is more winterish that can be left out for quite a few months here in good ol' Wisconsin!  So here is some pics of the tulle wreaths that I whipped up! I love making these!  It's so much fun looking for colors of tulle and finding things to decorate them!

The next project I had sitting in my garage for some time waiting for inspiration to hit. I work at a school and I am all for supporting what the students do. The wood shop kids have a sale towards the end of the year of the items that they learn to make. It just so happened that I needed a couple of nightstands for the extra bedroom.. I picked up two unfinished stands, that sat in the garage for a few months... sorry to say.. but I soon figured out how I wanted to finish them off. I think they look perfect in the room! I hope to redo the dresser I have had ever since I remember as well to match!  Here is what some gloss black and cream paint can do along with some fun door knobs that I found at Hobby Lobby!

It feels so good to get things checked off the crafty wish list! Now next  I have one digital calendar to make, one scrappy calendar to make, and a butt load of holiday cards! Who else is neck deep in holiday craftiness? I wish everyone happy creating!

Love Short weeks!

I am so excited to be off till Monday! I am  hoping some crafty madness can ensue during this time. The house is all pretty clean since we just had people over this weekend. The only thing that will compete with the crafty time will be shopping time! What is a girl to do! The outside of the house is all ready for xmas and I am sure the inside won't be far behind. My hubby is a xmas nut, no fanatic! It makes the holiday fun.. So with the holiday almost here anyone else taking time to be crafty? I am hoping to find something cute to decorate my holiday tulle wreath with.. Pictures to come. I hope whatever your plans you have a happy and enjoyable Thanksgiving with family and friends!

Happy creating!

Ever feel like you fallen off the face of the earth??

I have had  a few weeks like that now... Just way too much going on.. I am hoping things will slow down a bit and I can focus on all the fun craftiness that the holidays bring! I have to remember that I need to take no MAKE the time to be creative. I need to listen to my husband and leave work at work.. During this holiday season I am going to strive to do just that and try and focus on the fun things. I can't believe halloween is over and Thanksgiving is literally knocking on the door.. Where has the time gone!

All the halloween is packed up and the fall decor is now out and christmas is starting to come.. We have all the outside lights up already! You have to be prepared when you live in Wisconsin since you never know how the weather will be day to day! It was just snowing yesterday and by the weekend we will be back in the 50's!

I hope to be more present on my blog this month! I have a wreath I am excited to share and I can't wait to start making my xmas cards. Hope you all have a great Friday and happy creating!

Shrekish week!

Well its been that kind of week since I had last posted. I had gotten a call on Tuesday at work stating Terry (husband) had hurt his ankle really bad by falling and was going to the ER and I should meet him... but first I was to get the oil changed... (the always practical male) I got to the ER and the only way to describe his foot is think SHREK! His foot looked twice the size of the other one with no definition and some weird coloring (not green though!) Xrays didn't show any breaks, which was good, but he definitely had sprained it pretty bad and may have done some tendon issues, but  too much swelling to tell that.. Wednesday was a fun day of him not being able to get around at all, since it hurt way too much to put any weight on it.. Thursday he could attempt to hobble/hop around... As of today he still can't put a sock on it let alone a shoe... and his foot still looks quite cartoony..  So because of all of that fun, I didn't get a chance to go out and take a pic of our fun fall decorations outside the house.. Without further ado here is our Hay Guy "Harvest Jack"

Here is another one we found around as well!

Happy Creating and I hope everyone is enjoying fall!!!

Some New fun..

I just recently checked out Pinterest... and wow.. there is whole load of inspiration going on there. Everything from food ideas, diy, home decor, fashion.. You name they got it.. Its so fun and so so very addicting!! Has anyone else been on there? I wish they had something like this when I was getting married it would have made putting ideas together much easier! I have been a little hiatus from scrapbooking since I have been working on getting the house all fall"y" looking. I had some fun this weekend. I have a pumpkin carved which I will take pics of tomorrow and I also did some creative with a round bale of hay.. Gotta love living in the country!

Check back tomorrow to check out my fall project fun! I hope everyone survives there monday!

Some "Doodle" icious Halloween Cards

So Here are the pics of the cards I made over the weekend. All products besides the white card are Doodlebug. I really love working with their cute halloween monsters. I just love how many cards you can make with the one sheet of stickers! I am still hoarding all my 3D Monsters! I am terrible that way. If I think something is too cute I don't use it! Kind of defeats the purpose! I am sure I will find a special project to use them on! I hope you all enjoy the cards! I had some battery issues the other night with the camera, so I didn't get pics taken yet of our fall decor. I hope to do that tomorrow night!

HAPPY CREATING!!!

Fall Is Finally Here!

I just love this time of year! I love the crisp of the air, the being able to snuggle in a blanket, eating yummy casseroles and soups, the pretty colors of fall.. I could go on and on! This weekend I was able to get some deep cleaning done and brought out some of our fall goodies to decorate! It feels nice to be able to do this. I missed this last year when we were living with relatives since we were in the thick of building last year this time. So my question to all of you is what is your favorite thing of fall? I am going to take some pics tonight of our fall decor and of the halloween cards I was able to make this weekend as well.

Happy Creating!

Another Monday Bites the Dust!

The weeks and weekends have just been flying by! This weekend I got some things cleaned up. I got things ready for my cousin's garage sale this weekend and I got all my items tagged for the sale that my local scrapbook store is going to have later this month. I have to do some more digging since I still have tags left for the store! I have to see what else I can purge! All in order to get more! The weekend was productive at least!

This week I am going to have a little hiatus in the middle of the week for my birthday! Not sure what I am going to do, but I won't be at work! I am hoping to get maybe get some creative time in! If I do I will be sure to post my creations.. I am thinking it will be halloween cards!

I love it, the weather is suppose to get nice and crisp as well this week! I LOVE FALL!!!
Here is a layout that I did earlier this year with some fall pics from my favorite place in the world during the fall, Door County!

I hope everyone enjoys fall as much me! Happy Creating!

Gotta Love Long Weekends!

It was great that the weather in Wisconsin finally cooled down a bit, after starting off the school year in the high 90's it was a nice relief to wake up to a chill on Sunday! I love the chilly fall weather Wisconsin has. For the long weekend we really didn't have much planned which was nice! It gave us the opportunity to go out and explore a bit. We bought a state park pass and went exploring on Sunday.

We went to Devils Lake which was a tad bit busy and then to the Natural Bridge Park. We even got out and took a trail to go find the natural bridge.

I also spotted this cool old barn on our way to the other park so on our way back through I had Terry stop so I could get this pic. I love how the sky looked as well!
As always the weekend has to come to an end... Boo! Today was pretty laid back as well we had our fantasy football draft. We shall see how we do this year.

Happy Creating!
