Family Time

I had a fun and productive weekend. I got a little bit of everything done this weekend. How can you not feel good about that?
We got some family time in, we did some cleaning, a little shopping, and some time to relax.. We had two birthday's to celebrate, hence the family time. My nephew, Paxton turned 1 and my husband, Terry turned 36... Where does the time go?? It was fun watching the little guy devour his cupcake, or maybe that was my husband?!? I actually think it was both of them! So we had birthday time on Friday and Saturday and then today was the cleaning and relaxing day! I even got the scrap room all straightened up again! Now I have to think of what project to do next.

Here is a peek of my most recent project. I had a lot of fun playing around with this one. I had the window pane frame sitting here for quite some time waiting for the perfect project. I think It worked well for this. I like doing the altered items and trays. It challenges me to think of how to use each smaller space to make a whole project. This one I used Simple Stories supplies from the 100 days of Summer line. I love the colors of the line and it worked well for the cute pics of my brother's family.

I made another tray as well and Paxton and Lailah were the inspiration for that tray as well. This one is done in more traditional baby colors. I used Pebbles Inc for this tray.  I love cutting things down to fit the initial size of the opening and then layering on items to make it all work.

Here is that tray:

I hope everyone has a great week and that it goes by quickly so we can all have another fun productive weekend. Happy Creating!

Love is in the Air!

I have been absent for a wee bit again! Life sometimes just keeps you busy!

I worked on some lovely valentine day cards the other day. I have made a pact with myself that I have to use some of my older but loved scrapbook supplies along with some of my new stuff as I work on projects. This way I use my stash and just don't keep buying new! I have this horrible tendency to think something is too pretty to use and then I have it forever! Anyone else have that problem? Well for these cards I used some of my older KI and I used some new Echo Park. I love how they turned out!  For the ones that I used the KI on, I took a bunch of strips of papers and adhered them down to some white card stock. I then took my punch and punched out the heart so it has a stripe effect. For the other one that has the stripes in the background I used paper and ribbon to create that effect. I just love  using things in a different way to get a cool look.

So here are the cards that I made for V-day!

I hope everyone has a love filled week! Happy Creating!
